在網路上google AHL，就能有許多資訊介紹AHL。AHL是一支另類避險基金的名稱, 也是一家投資公司的名稱，隸屬於曼氏集團（MAN Ｇroup)旗下。該支基金即屬於管理期貨基金，或期貨管理顧問（ Commodity Trading Advisors or CTAs）。管理期貨基金主要是以期貨交易為主，範圍涵蓋全球金融市場、貨幣與商品的期貨，多數的交易仰賴統計運算系統來進行，較少人為的操作，亦即多數的管理期貨策略採系統化操作，主要透過統計與科學的方法找出判斷市場趨勢的方式。管理期貨基金最主要的研究目的則在於「非常態分配」的市場行為中「找出可以預估市場趨勢的變數」。也就是說，它可以不管投資市場的牛熊趨勢，提供投資人穩定成長的報酬率。
